Hounsdown School converted to an academy in August 2011 and is an over-subscribed, Outstanding (Ofsted 2017), thriving, highly successful and popular single 11 - 16 comprehensive school of c.1,300 students.

Free use of our fantastic on-site swimming pool, on school days between 7.15am - 8.00am.

Free counselling support for all staff
Free in-school counselling service is available by a qualified psychotherapist registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), in addition to the support provided under our health cash plan (Level 1) provided by Westfield Health.
Fantastic CPD opportunities
Hounsdown are exceptionally proud to be an outstanding school and we regularly welcome visitors to share our excellent practice. We are able to accommodate subject specific or whole school visits and we are also able to offer tailored and funded CPD to meet your teaching and learning needs.

Free Staff Fitness Sessions
Staff fitness sessions are held every Friday morning in our sports hall... everyone is welcome, no matter your level of fitness. Changing rooms / showers available.
Free onsite parking at the school
On site parking for all staff... there are a number of areas to chose from.
Annual Flu Jabs
These are offered annually by the NHS who attend site on an Inset day.
