The Trustee body fulfils its role through full Trustee body meetings and committees. It is there to support the school and to be the “critical friend”. Visits are made to the school by Trustees on both formal and informal occasions. We welcome the opportunity to meet with parents. Many of you contact us to tell us how much you value how hard the school is working to deliver the very best possible educational opportunities and experience for your children.
To continue doing this, we very much need your support and one way that you can help us with this, is to join us as a Trustee, or to pass this request on to a member of the local community who may be in a position to support us.

We would welcome applications from any sector of our school community. This may include our current Parents/Carers, but we are particularly looking for volunteers to reflect a balanced perspective of our entire local community including…

- The recently retired
- Grandparents of our students
We also have limited professional development Trustee opportunities for ex Hounsdown students who are over the age of 18 in the early stages of their professional career.
These are voluntary roles requiring a commitment of a few hours each half term. In return we can offer you access to a range of training opportunities, mentor support, valuable professional development, and the knowledge that we are all doing our bit to help our students gain the very best possible experience from their education during these exceptionally challenging times.
