Hounsdown, A Hampshire School, is a popular, over-subscribed, Outstanding (Ofsted March 2017) 11-16 Science College which converted to an Academy in August 2011 and is a strategic partner for the ETC teaching School Alliance. Our school has a welcoming ethos with students being courteous and respectful. We are committed to supporting all staff in their career aspirations and growing new leaders. The school motto is 'Be the best that you can be'.
Hounsdown School offer all staff EduHealth Foundations Membership and the opportunity to also benefit from private healthcare, childcare vouchers, the cycle to work scheme, loan of a school laptop for specified teaching roles and a mentor programme for your first year.
Hounsdown School is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check along with other relevant pre-employment checks.

As a general rule, we are unable to pay travel expenses for those wanting to attend an interview. However, support towards interview travel costs will be considered e.g. if you are travelling in excess of 40 miles, but please let us know so this can be discussed and agreed in advance.
