Graduates interested in training to become a teacher can contact us to arrange a visit at any time during the academic year. We welcome not only new graduates looking to go into the teaching profession, but teachers considering a return to teaching, having had a career break. Additionally, SCITT Applicants wishing to visit Hounsdown School can do so through the School Experience Programme (SEP).
If you are looking to embark on initial teacher training (ITT), we are pleased to offer a number of placement days for eligible applicants looking to teach English, Maths or Science in conjunction with the School Experience Programme.
School Experience Sessions
The School Experience sessions provide an opportunity to discuss routes into teaching, to tour the school and spend time in the department of your interested teaching subject.
Please contact Hounsdown School (email HRadmin@hounsdown.hants.sch.uk or telephone 023 8086 2981) to find out when our next School Experience Session is running and book a place. Alternatively, contact us to arrange an informal visit to our school.
We look forward to meeting with you.
Our Initial Teacher Training Recruitment Evening is on Tuesday 10th October. If you know of anyone who is interested in a career in teaching then please do let them know about this event.
